EIOPA has recently announced its plan to release the final version of the XBRL Tool for undertaking (T4U) in October 2016. T4U is an open-source software tool that is used by small and medium-sized insurance companies to facilitate the creation of XBRL reports. It can be downloaded free of charge and after EIOPA stops supporting the T4U (in July 2017) the companies using it will need to do the updates themselves.
