Data Control Performance Report: Trust the Data, Trust the Process
In the world of data, trust is everything.
The Data Control Performance Report, designed by our experts, helps our clients regularly assess the integrity of key process steps - especially where data transformations or manual interventions may introduce risk. Each control is designed to identify discrepancies before they become issues. We focus on four key types of checks:
- Automatic controls – detect any unintended data changes during transformations (e.g., ensuring totals remain consistent).
- Automatic with threshold – allow for minor differences within defined absolute or percentage variance, without compromising integrity.
- Manual controls – rely on documented results from different systems or visual outputs such as charts.
- Manual controls (4-eyes principle) – key controls are reviewed by a second person to ensure higher reliability.
This layered approach helps us maintain data accuracy, transparency, and confidence across the organization.
